Team of Prof. John P.A.Ioannidis, Stanford University has released an update of the list that represents the top 2% of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines on Oct. 10, 2022. Chief Scientist of Shanghai Agrobiological Gene Center, prof. Luo Lijun is ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists.

The results of the first two rankings were released in the journal PLoS Biology (DOI:10.17632/btchxktzyw.4). The 2022 edition is the 4th edition with the statistical data from 1960 to 2022, covering 200,409 scientists around the world.

The ranking is based on the Scopus database and is scored using the following six key factors: 

1) total citations; 2) Hirsch H-index; 3) Schreiber Hm-index revised by co-authors; 4) single authors; 5) single or first author; 6) citations by single, first or last author.

Prof. Luo Lijun was selected into both the Lifetime Scientific Influence Ranking (1960-2022) and 2022 Annual Scientific Influence Ranking.
