On April 8-9, a group of 3 people from the grapefruit department of Forest and Fruit Tree Research Institute went to the vineyards in Jinshan, Chongming, Fengxian District and Pudong New Area to carry out field training for fruit farmers. According to the facility and cultivation type of the vineyard, researcher Aili Jiang explained and demonstrated the bud dissection technique of main-branch, pruning technique of sub-branch and shaping technique of planting seedlings. She guided supporting measures of the cultivation for different grape varieties as well. A total of 10 large grape growers were visited in 2 days, and about 50 fruit farmers were trained. The training of the spring management technology would provide strong technical support for high-quality grape production.
