On December 11, 2025, Rodrigo Alfredo Martínez, National Research Director of Agrosavia, visited SAAS. Vice President Zhao Zhihui received the guest. Yang Liuyan, Deputy Director of the Research Management Division, and relevant experts from Smart Agriculture Research Center, SAAS attended the meeting. In-depth exchanges were conducted with the guests on topics including the development and application of smart agriculture, R&D of precision agriculture technologies, and industrialization practices.

SAAS has long maintained a stable cooperative relationship with Agrosavia. Previously, through various online and offline symposiums, multiple rounds of discussions have been carried out in fields such as agricultural product quality and safety testing, preservation and processing, livestock and poultry breeding and healthy aquaculture, and horticultural crop resource utilization. During the visit this time, the focus was on the transformation and scenario application of smart agriculture technologies. At the meeting, experts from Smart Agriculture Research Center systematically introduced R&D achievements and practical cases in intelligent sensor monitoring, precision water and fertilizer management, digital twin planting, and agricultural big data analysis. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation directions such as joint project application and talent exchange and training and reached initial consensus.

The next day, accompanied by foreign affairs specialist from the International Cooperation Office and experts from the Smart Agriculture Research Center, Mr. Martínez visited the National Engineering and Technology Research Center for Protected Agriculture of SAAS in Chongming. He inspected on-site the application of cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent greenhouse environment control, soilless cultivation, and green prevention and control of diseases and pests, and learned in detail about the practical achievements of protected agriculture in improving production efficiency and product quality. Later, he went to the Youyou Sino-Dutch Agricultural Innovation Park to conduct on-site research on the promotion and application of smart agriculture equipment and planting models at the enterprise level.

Mr. Martínez spoke highly of the innovative achievements made by SAAS in the fields of smart agriculture and protected agriculture. He stated that this visit has built a pragmatic and effective cooperation bridge between the two sides, and he looks forward to further deepening cooperation in the future to jointly promote the development of agricultural science and technology.
