The III International Symposium on Fruit Culture along Silk Road Countries was held from July 10-14, 2023 in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, under auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and Chinese Society for Horticultural Science (CSHS). 9 scientists from the Forest and Fruit Tree Research Institute, SAAS attended the symposium.

More than 150 researchers from 9 countries, including the United States and France, exchanged views on genetic breeding, germplasm resource collection, identification and innovation, dwarf rootstock selection, seedling propagation technology, postharvest preservation and processing, etc., shared the latest ideas and knowledge, and discussed the future prospects of fruit culture. Associate researcher Li Xiongwei provided an academic poster for the symposium.
