To further promote the development of agricultural science and technology along the "Belt and Road" and consolidate the foundation of cooperation between our academy and agricultural research institutions in Vietnam, on April 3, delegation of 6 people led by Nguyen Quang Ha, Rector of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University, Vietnam visited our academy. Vice President Zhao Zhihui received the Vietnamese delegation. Yang Juan, Deputy Director of the Research Administration Division chaired the exchange meeting.

Vice President Zhao extended warm welcome to the arrival of the guests. He hoped that through this meeting, the mutual understanding would be deepened and the foundation for cooperation would be consolidated. In the future, exchanges and cooperation could be further promoted in the construction of China-Vietnam International Joint Laboratory.

Nguyen Quang Ha mentioned since the signing of the MoU on scientific and technological cooperation in 2021, a lot of practical projects have been carried out through the joint laboratory. He hoped in the future, the connection of the scientific research teams of the two parties would be strengthened, and more fruitful cooperation results would be achieved through agricultural technology innovation, joint application for Sino-Vietnamese international cooperation projects, and talent exchange and training.

At the exchange meeting, experts from our academy reported on the work progress of joint laboratory. Scientists from the Crop Breeding and Cultivation Research Institute, Horticultural Research Institute, Institute of Edible Fungi and Biotechnology Research Institute attended the meeting.

This exchange meeting has significant effect for our academy to the implementation of Sino-Vietnamese agricultural breeding, biotechnology, and cultivation supporting technologies in various aspects.
