On July 29th, Prof. Qiao Yongjin from the Research Center for Agricultural Products Preservation and Processing, Crop Breeding and Cultivation Research Institute, SAAS, was invited to give a special lecture on "Postharvest refreshing and storage technology of fruits and vegetables" for officials of the "Cooperative Seminar on Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products for Developing Countries". Prof. Qiao analyzed and explained agricultural product resources, pre- and post-harvest management, major industrial risk points, safe and green preservation technologies and future development trends. He elaborated on post-harvest processing and safety prevention and control of agricultural products in China, which was very welcomed by the audience.

Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and undertaken by Jiangsu Inspection and Quarantine Quality Research Center, the online seminar is one of the foreign aid training project of the People's Republic of China, that aims to train technical officials for developing countries, improve local agricultural product safety supervision ability and contribute to the safe production and efficient supervision of international agricultural products. Agricultural product safety supervision officials from developing countries such as Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka participated in the online seminar.
