On June 30, 2022, Scientists from the Institute of Agro-food Standards and Testing Technology, SAAS, Dr. Ron Hoogenboom, Wageningen Food Safety Research (WFSR)  and Researcher Cheng Liu, Manager of China Program Development, WFSR, held an online discussion meeting of the application of the joint research project of the 2022 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the relevant member institutions of the Global Research Council (GRC). The meeting was chaired by researcher Cheng. Researcher Song Weiguo, director of the Institute of Agro-food Standards and Testing Technology, SAAS and 8 scientists from the environmental pollutant evaluation and origin traceability team at the institute attended the meeting.

The meeting mainly focused on the application requirements and theme of the "Sustainable Development International Cooperation Program (SDIC)" initiated by the 2022 NSFC, jointly with international organizations and research funding agencies of various countries. Researcher Song introduced in detail the purpose, requirements, and application foundation of the SDIC cultivation program.

Dr. Ron Hoogenboom, the EU expert in the field of persistent organic pollutants, introduced the requirements and contents of the joint research project application under the Dutch guidelines as well.
