SAAS Scientists Attended the Sino-German Workshop: Lake Processes
On Sep. 29th, researcher LIU Fuxing, associate researcher WANG Junli and dr. BI Yucui from Eco-environment Protection Research Institute attended the Sino-German Workshop: Lake Processes. The workshop is jointly hosted by Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences and TZW-KA & IWW. The workshop was held online and more than 20 representatives from Nanjing Institute of Geography & Limnology Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangnan University, German Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, TZW-KA & IWW, Goethe University Frankfurt, Bbe Moldaenke Algae Analyzer Company and Hydroisotope Isotopic measurement Company attended the workshop.
SAAS held the Sino-German Taihu Lake Water Environment Seminar in 2019. This year, scientists from China and Germany delivered 14 reports in total. SAAS scientists LIU Fuxing and WANG Junli made a report named “Assessing wetland nitrogen removal and reed (Phragmites australis) root responses for the selection of optimal harvest time” while BI Yucui also addressed a speech called “Soil texture regulates active nitrogen loss following five-year successive biochar application”.
Through in-depth academic communication and sci-tech insights exchange, Sino-German scientists are dedicated to exploring future cooperation potentials on Taihu Lake’s environmental management issues.
