On March 5, an academic report meeting was held by Shanghai Edible Fungi Industrial Technology System at the Edible Fungi Research Institute. Japanese Edible Fungi Expert Prof. Yutaka Kitamoto was invited to make a special report. More than 50 people from the Edible Fungi Industrial Technology System and researchers from SAAS participated in this training. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Jianchun Huang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Edible Fungi and Chief Expert of the Industrial Technology System.

In the report, Prof. Kitamoto lectured in three parts: cellulose was functional through mononuclear/binuclear mycelial cells; expression of tyrosinase after light induction only produced activity on binuclear mycelial cells; trehalose phosphorylase could improve the flavour of edible fungi. He had full communication with the participants after the report.
